Troop 269 - Fall Newsletter

September – November 2006

   Pack 269 Kick-off Picnic/Camping –  As we have done in past years we will once again be joining the Pack to support their Kick-off.  Those that are not attending JLT will meet at McStop with all your camping gear at 9:00 am on 9/23.  We will conduct Highway Clean-up and move directly to Ritter Farm Park and set up our camp site for the overnight.  Beginning at 4:00 we will assist the Pack with their Annual Rocket Launch, partake in their catered dinner, have some fun around the Campfire and provide the Pack Overnighters with breakfast and a worship service on Sunday morning.  For those in Fall Sports we want you to join us as soon as you can.

Wreath Sales –  Will begin on September 16 and conclude on October 23.  The monies raised from this fund raiser will be placed in the scout accounts for use towards camp(s).  The sheets show the selling price and the profit amounts for each item, please do not take this sheet with you on your sales calls.  Mid sales total need to be turned in to Mr. Nonweiler NLT October 2 via e-mail (scouts1@charter.net).  Wreaths will be delivered on November 16 and need to be picked up that day.

Fall Camping Events

October 13 - 15 District Camporee: Currently the District has no plan for this camporee so we will be making this a Troop camping event at Phillipo Scout Reservation and inviting the Webelos from Packs 269 & 265.  More information will follow in the next couple of weeks.

 November:  This event has yet to be planned by the new PLC
